Meagan and Kristin used their passion for interior design and completely transformed the place into a modern, chic getaway while still preserving the integrity of a house built in the 1920s. They took care of everything from strategy, inventory, shopping and even provided some local recommendations to help us build our guestbook for tenants. Cannot speak highly enough about this dynamic duo. Will definitely be using them again in my next project!

Where do I begin? My fiancé and I recently bought a house that we desperately needed help decorating. I stumbled upon URD and reached out about their “refresh” package as we felt it was exactly what we needed - direction and ideas. I cannot say enough about how amazing Meagan and Kristin are to work with! They ended up “refreshing” three of our rooms - the main living room, kitchen, and second living room. They took into consideration our initial ideas/wants and provided mood boards that exceeded our expectations beyond belief! From paint colors to furniture ideas to accessories and everything in between - they were extremely thorough. I cannot recommend this service more! Kristin and Megan were amazing to work with! I did the refresh package for the entire first floor of our new house. Their design boards and instructions made it so easy and fun! We used Upstate Roots Design to stage our house for its sale per the recommendation of our realtor.  I honestly would never have considered staging my house but after my realtor showed me pictures of their work, I was immediately impressed and trusted his recommendation. It was always my dad's dream to own several rental properties. That never worked out for him until I was an adult at an advanced stage in my career, and so we did it together. Bought distressed properties, breathed new life into them, and provided homes for good working families. But as my dad's health declined, I knew I couldn't do it all on my own anymore, so decided to sell. The Upstate Roots design team was an integral part of that process- never had these homes looked so warm and inviting. It made it emotionally easier to part with them as I could visualize a lived-in home with a new family instead of the vacant house you get after a tenant moves out. It helped the buyers believe in the meticulous care we put into those houses to bring them back from declining shells to true homes. I'm sure it probably helped the sale price too, but that was secondary to just making the homes truly look alive.
